Hey guys, i tried looking for the answers to these but could not find them.

-What is the bandwidth limit for the SMFnew forums? I plan on my forum having lots of people registering and posting, will it start lagging after some time?

-If i get a domain namel myforums.com for example, what exactly do i have to do to make it work. I read the instructions on how too, but i still dont understand.

-I heard something about footers being featured in a new update. Did that update happen yet, or when is it going to happen?

-How do i add, edit, buy items in my forums shop. And how do people access the shop? Sorry about this one, i am kind of new to SMF.

Thanks in advance guys, and sorry, i am very naive at this.

-There is no bandwidth limit, you can have as many users as you like and it will not start to lag

-You need one credit to have a domain added to your account, you can get one credit by doing one referral (getting a friend to sign up for a forum)

Matt will answer the next too as I am not too sure of the answers =] Hes the smf geek. I do the phpbb :)

Hello. Your features page (http://www.smfnew.com/features.php) lists "Reasonable Traffic" as a feature, and that sounds a lot more like there is some limit than "Unlimited Traffic" would. So why not call it "Unlimited"?

Sorry to be a bother, I just want to be sure I understand what you guys are saying. :)

It basically means, we do not monitor individual forums traffic. So in a theory, it is unmetered. But if a situation were to arise that we are paying more for our bandwidth than we are getting back, we would impose limitations. Meaning if you are using XXXGB, then it is unreasonable.

Thanks.

which pretty much will never happen, so don't worry about it. I've never seen a forum use too much bandwidth so you'll be fine =]

Wow. Thanks for the super fast responses :)

We're looking at the possibility of having 1,000s of members by this time next year, with 300-500 forumaholoics.

What's your most active forum have in terms of users and, ballpark, how much bandwidth is it using?

We can't give that information away :D

But those numbers are fine. Seeming we do not monitor, we will have no reason to be concerned.

Thanks.
