Anyone think Easyforumz should host Invision Power Boards (1.3 or course)? I think it would benefit this host more, and even the forums.
Opinions?

We would, if my script worked (Sorry Pandmiex)
I like your site, your new one.
But right now, this is enough the phpBB hosting and Wordpress blogs have got to grow.

Yeah, it didn't seem to work when I used it xD. And what site?
I guess they do need to grow more, but not everyone is into running a phpBB forum. This is "EasyForumz", and I think that there should be a variety of forums available to people here.

Easyforumz - Can mean plural for several phpBB boards.
Pandemix dot extension - I won't reveal it.
I will try again with that script.

You make a very intresting point indeed. How about having phpBB, IPB, and SMF?

We need one aspect to grow, and once that is continuing to grow simultaneously then we add more forum types.

Ohhh. Lol, I turned that into a phpBB3 test board for Attitude.

That would be cool, but maybe save SMF for a later project?

But phpBB doesn't meet everyones standards like IPB can. Sure, there's those fancy skins and modifications Matt has added (kudos to you by the way), but it's still not enough features I guess.
Besides, don't you think these two pieces of forum software can grow up together? They are one of the most popular and most used forum ware out there.

I vote for IPB :)
You would grow a lot faster. Good luck getting many members by only hosting phpbb >< If it's just phpbb, most people would just get a host with more MODs installed. So unless you wanna install like 30 MODs real fast, I'd do IPB :)

Yes, that is a very good point, as long as we give access to footers and HTML templates then all mods which can be used for other hosts can be used with EF.

Yeah, nice point. Do it! :D
Though you do need to start hosting IPB, if you want to be big, like [competitor] :)

First we will need to get a script which is suitable for this and is very secure.

All scripts and other forum hosters are similiar scripts, but some take away features of the normal package and add on something else to make up for it

Hm..time to start working on the IPB multiforums xD
I'll see what I can do :P
I'm not to sure on the IPB licensing. On what i can gather, it is illegal to host IPB 1.3.1 without a license from many years ago.
Ill contact them about IPB 1.3.0 if i have plans to host this software in the future.

Hello Matt,
I think IPB licensing is Perdomain or Per IP basis. Ofcourse may be forums are in same ip address, But i think you need to contact them whether if you're breaching their TOS.
If you wish to use thier Old version (free one), It might have a lot of security holes, I would suggest you to contact them before you proceed.
Its a good idea if you host iPB forums, I know a few of them who do this.
Good Luck,
James!
This has been digging on me for a while. Ive just emailed invision asking if it illegal or not.

No point anyways, Ipb is horrible, Smf is awesome, so is phpbb, Dont even think about invision hosting, it sucks :(
