Regulations Of The Support Forum.
--Before you read, if you have any questions or do not understand the following rule(s), don't hesitate to make a topic Here (http://www.support.phpbbnew.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23). We will explain the rule(s) further so you have a better understanding.
Common Sense
1) BAD WORDS -Although we have a "bad word" filter in place, this does not guarantee that every profanity word will be censored. You are not allowed to post any abusive "bad word" as there are users under the age of 18 whom use this forum. Any user found trying to avoid this system or posting a "bad word" will have an infraction.
2) MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS - Multiple Accounts aren't allowed. If you don't like your username, ask for a admin to change it. If you made a new one because your old account has infractions, well guess what, you will be instantly banned! The ban is permanent. Although, if you have two people from one PC wanting to register at this forum then you must post it Here (http://www.forums.easyforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23). Then wait for a moderator / admin to say yes, or no. Please don't be offended if your given a 'No'. If your given a yes, then you may have two accounts per IP. Not three, two.
3) FLAMMING & SPAMMING - If you attempt to annoy other users by making certain posts, topics or sending private messages which you know will anger them then you will be given an infraction. If you are the user on the end side of the abuse, you should report the post, topic or whatever it is. Spamming the forum is just for losers. We have a post time limit in place which is 60 seconds. You may only make one post per 60 seconds. We have also put another step in to fight forum spammers. Your post must be longer than 10 letters or it will be rejected and not posted. Users which do spam, will be given an infraction for each post / topic they make. If they make 10 spam posts / topics in a row, your out. Basically.
4) RESPECT STAFF - Staff are here to make sure this forum is kept in ship shape. Their word is final. Don't argue with staff about how they moderate. You should respect staff decisions, just as we will respect yours. Please do not post on their profile page for support etc. You can create a topic for that. Finally, do not send staff a private message for support unless asked to by that staff member(s).
5) DISCUSSION OF BANNED MEMBERS - You may not make a topic discussing a banned member. Whether it be your friend or a total nobody, you may not ask why they have been banned. You may not try to appeal a ban for them by making a topic, posting or sending a private message to moderators or administrators.
6) INDECENT IMAGES OR LINKS - Nudity & Sexual images or posts which link to such material aren't allowed. Users under the age of 18 use this forum. If a user is found to have posted or uploaded such material... banned. You may not have a signature or avatar with such material.
7) ENCOURAGING - Do not encourage others to break any of the rules which are listed here. Both parties will receivethe same treatment.
8) EXPLOITATION OF BUGS - If you abuse the software exploits then serious consequences will follow. However, if you do find an exploit then we would love to hear from you so we can patch it up as soon as possible! This goes for any of our websites.
9) PROXY POLICY - We prefer users not to use online browser based proxies. The IP's used may conflict with other users. This is not necessary a rule, just a preference.
10) ENGLISH - You may only post in English. Posts in a different language may be deleted. This is a English based site so we must all speak in English if not asked by a certain staff member. This is because the staff who work on the phpBBnew network can only speak English.
11) SPEECH - You must post in plain readable English.
12) COMPETITORS - We prefer users not to link to competing sites. Such links can be removed and the user may be infracted if it is obvious that the link is only for advertising methods. However, any link can be questionable. To be on the safe side do not link to competing sites :). (Other Niches are fine..)
13) ADVERTISING - You may link to your own site in your profile, signature or post. As long as the link does not violate any of the terms above, then we have no reason not to allow outside links. You are allowed to advertise one forum in a 15 day period in the show case section. After the 15 day period is up, you may then make another topic or bump your old advertisement. In simple terms, each user is only allowed to post in the show case section once every 15 days. Users who do not follow this rule will be given an infraction and their topic will be locked or their post will be deleted. Only one advertisement for one forum in a 15 day period is allowed. If someone has already advertised your board then you may not make another topic. One topic for each forum in a 15 day period. The offender(s) will be infracted along with the topic being closed.
You may only advertise forums which we host. If you advertise a forum which is not hosted by us, you will be given a permanent infraction worth 2 points. Repeating offender's will have their forum blacklisted on the support forum. Which means you will be unable to post the url of your forum. Or simply, just given infractions until they have run out = banned.
14) TOS Violations - You may not discuss a forum which is or you think could be violating our terms of service. Please report them as described on the terms of service page and the contact page.
Infractions
They are not the end of the world! An infraction is a warning, simply read it, and take notice. There is no need to thread or worry about it. You are allowed 10 infractions points in total. Points do expire!
Reporting Posts
If you find a topic or post which you find violates any of the rules, you may click the warning button next to the post. Once this is clicked, the Moderators/Administrators are alerted of this post; which can be dealt with swiftly. If you misuse this function. Then you get a lovely infraction! (Per reported post). Staff reward certain users who use this function to help out.
Other
We reserve the right to change these rules at any time. We may also be evil and ban any user at any given moment for violating any of these rules. We may ban any person at any time for what ever reason.
